AAUA Elects Members to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee

May 21, 2024, Bloomington, Indiana – The American Association of University Administrators (AAUA) announces the election of three new members to its Board of Directors and Executive Committee. The election took place during the Annual Board meeting on May 17, 2024
Elected to the Executive Committee are:

  • Chairperson of the Board: Greg Paveza, Consultant/Owner, Thunderbird Higher Education Consulting.
  • Chairperson Elect: Sandra Affenito, Chief Academic Officer, Post University.
  • Immediate Past Chairperson: William Hill, Assistant Dean, College of Education, Wayne State University.
  • Vice Chairperson for Awards: Jerome Neuner, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs (retired), Canisius College.
  • Vice Chairperson for Membership: Joe Sallustio, Senior Vice President Lindenwood University
  • Vice Chairperson for Professional Development: Lynn Burks, Chief Associate Higher Education, Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates
  • Vice Chairperson for Publications: Sr. Ann Heath, IHM, Director of Doctoral Program in Higher Education, Immaculata University.
  • Vice Chairperson and Treasurer: Tom Botzman, President (retired), University of Mount Union.

Dean Hoke, President/CEO, commented, “The AAUA Executive Committee is an outstanding team of individuals who are dedicated to our organization’s mission. Their guidance and advocacy are very important to AAUA, and I am looking forward to this upcoming year.”

Newly elected to the Board of Directors are:

  • Matthew Roche, JD.
  • Dr. Gregor Thuswaldner – Professor, Whitworth University.

Re-elected to the Board of Directors are:

  • Thomas J. Botzman, President (retired), University of Mount Union.
  • Lynn M. Burks, Chief Associate Higher Education, Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates
  • Daniel Campbell¸ Director of Institutional Research, University of Alaska Anchorage
  • Ruma Chopra, Dean of the School for Cultural and Social Transformation, University of Utah
  • Colin M. Coyne, Chief Strategy Officer, Samford University.
  • Sr. Ann M. Heath, IHM, Director of Doctoral Program in Higher Education, Immaculata University.
  • Karen M. Lee, Associate Vice President for Academic Administration, University of Detroit Mercy.
  • Jerome E. Neuner, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs (retired), Canisius College.
  • Julie E. Wollman, Professor of Practice in Higher Education, University of Pennsylvania (President Emerita, Widener University).
